The President of Inter-Edu Marijana Dimitrova was an invited speaker at the Leadership Workshop organized by the COST Academy on October, the 1st 2019 at the COST- European Cooperation in Science and Technology premises. The objective of the workshop was to inspire ICT participants to overtake leading roles within COST, as well as to present the leadership roles in a COST Action and their meaning. The workshop was opened by Mr. Ronald de Bruin, the Director of COST Association who also had a very appealing and motivating presentation on leadership. The Head of Science Operations, Primoz Pristovsek presented the COST Leadership positions and an outlook to a COST Action.
Within the session of COST Leadership experience from a personal perspective, Marijana Dimitrova talked about her engagement as a STSM Coordinator within COST Action 1302- BESTPRAC. She explained the role and tasks of the STSM Manager as well as the entire process of publishing an STSM Call.
BESTPRAC is a COST Targeted Network that was held in a period 2014-2019 and served as a platform for exchanging experiences, sharing and developing best practices, encouraging knowledge sharing, knowledge transfer and increasing efficiency among the research administrative staff.
WG leaders from COST Actions TD1404 Sara Savic and FA1404 Danijela Horvatek also shared their experience and benefits from the participation at the COST Actions.
The participants at the workshop developed a productive discussion and showed interest in overtaking leadership roles within the COST Actions.
